It’s such a great blessing to be part of the SEP this year especially in Mindanao. I thank the Lord for it. I thank my friends and my family too. For 4 years na hindi ako naka pag attend sa camp, i feel some rust on my part…but God had been gracious to me especially that He revived my zeal for the Youth, months before the camp. And an added bonus of being able to practice photography before the camp too. I didn’t know how God placed me in a capacity to be a documentarist/photographer in the camp. Before, in the camp planning, i was assigned for the basketball…but it turned out to be being in a capacity where i love to do it and give my best “shots” into it. I’m so thankful for this camp, it was so refreshing…awesomely outpouring of blessings on it too…not only financially…but to some aspects as well. Indeed, God had shown to me all over again that, He really works in many wondrous ways. The camp was really amazing! Thank You, Lord! The glory and honor belongs to You for what You’ve done to the camp and to us as well. =)

Yes! For God be the glory, SEP Mindanao 2010 at Eden Nature Park, Davao City is a Success. I know it’s sad to say our goodbyes but the fun, enjoyment and the things we learned from the camp in Jesus was beyond measures. The 4-day camp was filled with spirit in knowing Jesus and first time adventure throughout the cold forest of Eden. It was like a paradise in the flesh. With superb meals from the kitchen, accommodating tents >.<, sleeping with the bugs, and feeling the cool breeze of the night was the best.

With the camp’s theme: Following His Tracks, we trekked all over the place and learned the ways of Jesus as we go along. Although it was a tiring one, but none of us gave up, we kept walking till we reached our destination (the tents) ^_^.

Thanks to all who participated in the camp, to offer their little time for Jesus and thank you for those who gave us the chance to join (especially to GOD). We had a great time and we have SEP fever all over our faces. We are forever grateful!

What I can say about this year’s SEP is that every activity I enjoy so much. Ang dami kong natutunan about kay God. Yong sinabi ni Pastor Oscar is about the problem and solution of God dying for us. Kaya ito ngayon, I love God very much.

Noong last day na, grabe talaga yong iyak ko.

Through the camp, the Lord showed His mercy and love to me. Even though I am not worthy to be his servant, He still allowed it to happen. He also taught me to be patient with my campers and be responsible with my actions even though sometimes they get into my nerves. But still the Lord never allowed a test that I couldn’t take. Because of it, it brought back the one thing I have lost after all these years:  to trust and have faith on Him. ‘Cause if we do, everything will be alright even in the middle of a big storm. About the camp, it was the best camp I ever had. The food, activities, and the Christian Living classes are perfect! Thank you Lord for being patient with me and the great love you have showed! Praise You in the highest!

The SEP was great! I love the way how everyone prepared the youths to be baptized. I also appreciate the staff, from being warm and passionate, sobrang organized yet relaxing din yong ginawa nilang program. Kahit ako na-minister din at bumalik yong desire to continue to serve with the youth. May unity sa staff to reach one common goal, that was to win the youths for Christ. Walang kill joy, lahat game to minister to the youths. I hope maka-join ulit ako at makapag-serve. To God be the glory!

Sana makasama pa ako next year.

This year’s SEP is a great experience. The enjoyment, fun and learning is really to the highest level. I really enjoyed the camp so much! The best! I learned a lot in every activity especially in the Christian Living  and devotional because of it, my  faith in God has strengthen more. There are other things I have learned like team work, patience, and love of our team mates and opponents. I had applied those especially in the soccer game. We didn’t expect that we will be the champion, because what we think of is just to enjoy and play a good game.  Because alo in trekking, I gained more friends. I like the place in Eden. It’s unique and more challenging. It’s really fun especially in bedtime. We are like sardines. But anyway, we enjoyed so much!  The food is so delicious. The staffs, counselors and assistants were great. All in all, I really thank God because He has given me the chance to join. And it’s a great blessing for me and for us. That’s all, thank you!

There’s a saying: The best kind of prize is a surprise…well, nothing ever comes as SURPRISING as this year’s summer camp (so far). I’m not saying it is a prize, I mean I’ve had issues before the camp and I don’t think I deserve something as moving as what happened in the whole week we were there, but God is good…He makes you open the eyes of your heart to see once again how great is His Love for us. The life of a staff is different from the life of a camper, it’s kind of a wake-up call especially for first timers staff like me. It’s kind of chalenging and it takes a lot of heart and patience, for an assistant counselor- you serve just like a bridge for the campers and your counselors, or like a seargent of the company and your counselor’s the captain.

It’s like getting all the swings of both sides, getting all the FUN too…I admit, it’s just like 50% camper 50%staff. You get to know your campers, treasure your friends and mentors, and love God more…in the end, my faith was reignited. The red flames that were dying somehow turned into blue. The tears they shed when we said our last words, the Baptisms, it just showed that God still steered me through the storm and used me as an instrument…He used us to plant a seed in each of their hearts, and the growing process- is in His hands.I have learned that SEP’s not just for campers. hehehehe…It was the BEST MOUNTAINTOP EXPERIENCE SO FAR.:) 100% positively surprising.
